Meet the A&E Team: Anita Culp and Eileen Richter

Anita Culp and Eileen Richter have a combined 36 years of experience in Brooklyn real estate.

Before moving to Brooklyn, Anita lived in Japan for 7 years where she worked as a radio and TV host and traveled the country by motorcycle. When she moved to New York, she produced Japanese documentary programs but switched professions 16 years ago when she tried to sell her own apartment. “It was a nightmare,” she explained. “It took me about 6 months for my ‘For Sale By Owner’ apartment to close but it inspired me to turn the wasted time into time well spent.” By learning from her mistakes in selling her own apartment, Anita became a professional broker.

Eileen is a professional singer who has performed as a soloist all over the world and continues to perform regularly with MasterVoices. Eileen’s entry into real estate came from her performance experience. When she settled in Brooklyn over 30 years ago, she found that her open personality made real estate a natural fit.

Anita and Eileen are experts in Brooklyn real estate. They see how neighborhoods are not only different from one another, but they are aware of the “micro-neighborhoods” where there are price differences from block to block and segment to segment. They also understand how to balance expectations of their clients. “Technology is in everyone’s hands,” they note, “but even though consumers have the same access to information, they lack the experience and knowledge to execute on the information.  You can “Google” your symptoms, but that doesn’t mean you can operate on yourself.”
